Due to family drama thursday, opportunity was limited for a session on what looked like being the best day of 2009 so far ....

I was hoping to sneak a pukka Little Maui session between school runs, but that was ruled out with one collection of 4yr old at 11.30 ... DOH!

Had plenty to get on with anyway, so made myself useful round the house between shuttles and eventually made good an escape to get to Pevensey around 4pm, having had a glowing report from VFW Mark about just how good Pevensey was .....

Quite a few out when I got there, but most were cream crackered after a decent couple of hours before I'd arrived.

I went 4.7m Ego on the Twin Fin 84 and was rigged and getting wet in moments ... see how quick you can get organised without loads of folks to chat to while rigging.

Got to waters edge and wondered if i should have gone 4.2m as rig was pulled out of my hands twice while getting psyched for beachstart and session ... ie catching a breather from rushing to waters edge.

Hopped on and headed out, then classic, straight into a hole and plop. To be fair it was a momentary lull, and I only suffered two or three such lulls in the rest of the session.

Well powered to fully stacked. Some fun jumping to be had and some wave wiggling too, though not as much as i'd hoped !

Enjoyed what turned out to be a bit of a soul surfing session as the other couple who were still sailing were miles downwind.

Eventually canned it as was pretty knackered, de-rigged and changed before wandering down the beach to check on the downwinders. All was cool, first session out for a while and was finding conditions a bit tough on a Eagle 126 and 4.0m that looked like an ex-Jon Harmer rig ;-)

Quality session, and all the better for knowing U-Surf, Gutted & Paul P would be thinking they'd scored it better at Posh Beach with the tea baggers .... mind you Gutted & Paul had scored Camber earlier and that would have been the preferred session methinx

Fun in the sun, and nice way to unwind after stresses of previous day
